Prompts should be based on a visual medium that isn't text. For example, it could be a moment between the idols that you want to be expanded, it could be a scenario with other people, or a moodboard of aesthetics you'd like to match the fic.

RULES

- You are not required to have a Dreamwidth account to participate. There are no signups necessary. You may post anonymously if you want.
- There will be 3 rounds of this fest, and 1 round will be opened each week of the fest. Rounds will be left open for fills and comments, so there is no deadline for participating.
- Prompts do not have to be claimed before you write them, and they can be filled by more than one person.
- Once a round is open, you can continue submitting prompts for it until the end of the fest moderation period. (Ex: On February 17 after Round 3 opens, you’re still allowed to submit prompts to Round 1 and 2.)
- There is no minimum or maximum word count for fills. In the spirit of the fest, we encourage you to write shorter works, but any length is welcome and appreciated!
- Users are allowed to crosspost their fic on any other site, such as AO3. However, we ask that when possible, writers post the text of their fills as a reply to the prompt and include a link to an AO3 post if they choose to do so, instead of just linking to an AO3 post in their comment. This helps keep discussion in our community!
- Feel free to subscribe and join the comm to keep track of updates and view them on your reading page.

Prompts and fills have to center around K-pop girl group member(s). This includes:

All active and former girl group members
Female soloists
Female members in co-ed groups
Any female idol or trainee affiliated with K-pop (e.g. GP999 contestants, AKB48 members who featured in Produce48)
Slash, gen, het, and trans works are all accepted as long as they involve at least one girl group member

Yizhuo’s elbow collides with Ryujin’s nose right as the whistle blows, and that’s when all hell breaks loose.

“Bitch!” Ryujin yells. Trapped in the middle of the pack, cupping her face and wincing like prey. “That’s a foul!”

Yizhuo sneers. She’s angled her shoulders just high enough to block the ref’s sightline, elbows interlocking with Jurin to the left and Xiaoting to the right as they continue to constrict around Ryujin. Thirty seconds until Jimin can rejoin them and even the score. She feels one of Ryujin’s teammates scrabbling against her shoulders, hard enough to leave scratches—Yuna, probably, by the smell of her shampoo and sweat—and grits her teeth through it. The pack stays deadlocked as they skate one-bodied around the track.

Twenty seconds. Ryujin straightens, narrowing her eyes at Yizhuo, her face a bloody, sweaty, angry mess. They’ve been playing against each other for years, is the thing, both debuting as fresh meat for their respective teams as sophomores in college, running into each other at the same motels during weekend tournaments, trading fouls and points and cheap beers in between games. One time Yizhuo threw a shin guard at Ryujin’s head in the locker room and ended up kneeling below her in a shower stall not even ten minutes later. Another time she had Minjeong sucking a mean circle on her neck and opened her eyes to find Ryujin watching them with a bruised eye and an easy smile, the freak.

It’s with this knowledge of Ryujin’s body that Yizhuo reads the way her mouth guard clenches around her teeth, the rippling of her forearms, and knows just when to dodge a counter hit. The problem—and Yizhuo recognizes this to be a real fucking problem for both her sanity and their standing in the championship—is that Ryujin knows how to read her too, and the move turns out to be a clever bluff that allows Ryujin to exploit a sliver of a gap and break through the hold.

“Fuck,” Jurin hisses next to her, the two of them pivoting instantly to chase Ryujin down. But Ryujin’s a fast skater and an even faster jammer, a speeding bullet on her skates. She does a victory lap around the track with blood gleaming on her bright white teeth. The crowd stands and roars.

“Thanks for the present,” Ryujin says later, pointing at her busted nose, the straps of her helmet dangling against her collarbones.

Yizhuo rolls her eyes and unties her skates, still smarting from the loss. “You’re fine.”

“How am I supposed to score with the ladies looking like this?” Ryujin and her wide, stupid grin. She leans casually against a wall and asks, “You going to the afterparty?”

Yizhuo cocks an eyebrow. This game, too, is familiar. “Not if I have a better reason to be elsewhere.”

“I’ll make it worth it,” Ryujin murmurs, close enough that Yizhuo can feel the heat of her body.

This fucking girl, Yizhuo thinks, feeling just as frenzied.
